Llansannan Activity Base

Introduction

Crosby & District Scouts have a indoor activity base available for to Scouting, non -Scouting Groups and families to hire for residential in Llansannan village in North Wales.

The building briefly comprises of 4 bunk rooms, activity hall, dining hall, fully fitted kitchen, 3 toilet rooms, shower (we are currently in the process of expanding the number of showers), outside activity area and car park.

Llansannan is the perfect base for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales

Booking Conditions

Provisional bookings can only be held for 2 weeks. If the relevant deposit is not made by this date, then the provisional booking will be cancelled.

Payment may be made by cheque, payable to Crosby and District Scout Council (from this point referred to as CDSC) or directly by BACS transfer to Sort code: 20-10-84 and Account Number 10791237.

All deposits are non-refundable unless stated in these terms and conditions.

Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of a confirmation email.

Please note full deposit is due 1 week after the booking

By paying a deposit you are confirming that you agree to these term and conditions.

If you are booking as a group/organisation they will be held responsible for the condition of the building, payment of appropriate fees and behaviour of all in the party. For example if the 1st Anytown Cub Pack does not make full payment, CDSC will approach the 1st Anytown Scout Group for payment. If you are booking as a private group, the person making the booking shall be responsible.

CDCS reserves the right to refuse bookings to any group or private individuals, if this happens a reason will be given in writing by the District Commissioner

£50 for a 2 night stay, or £100 if more than 2 nights.

If Crosby & District Scouts cancel the booking, then any deposits will be refunded in full. If you can’t use the building due to local/national lockdown rules, then your deposit will be returned.

Please ensure you have appropriate insurance to cover any other events other than those mentioned above. As CDSC will not return any payments made in any other circumstances.

The Leader in charge (Youth bookings) or the person booking (private bookings etc.) is responsible for their party’s behaviour. At no time should under 18 year olds be left in the building without appropriate adult supervision, unless permission is given in advance by the District Commissioner.

It is a requirement that all those who use Llansannan Activity Base act in a reasonable and proper way with regard to their personal behaviour, the care of the facilities, the conduct of activities, the duty of care, risk assessment and health and safety issues.

It is the policy of the Scout Association to safeguard the welfare of all members and users of it's premises by protecting them from physical, sexual and emotional harm. To comply with these responsibilities, it is a condition of booking that all Adult Leaders, in their party, have been deemed fit to work with young people by the booking organisation concerned.

CDSC will provide risk assessments for the building, Groups should produce their own Risk Assessments for Activities etc.

CDSC does not provide or organise leaders or instructors. Those who conduct activities are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate training and qualifications to do so relevant to their own organisation. CDSC accepts no responsibility for such activities.

The building is designated as a non smoking building.

CDSC or their representatives cannot accept responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, vehicles or possessions belonging to visitors to the centre.

Please note pets and other animals, with the exception of Guide Dogs, are not allowed on site.

CDSC are proud of the history of the building and want to ensure that it is available for the benefit of young people for years to come. A small number of volunteers in Crosby and Llansannan help to maintain the condition of the building. At the start of and throughout your stay please ensure that everyone is made aware of the importance of keeping the building in a good condition for current and future guests.

The building should be left as you would like to find it in particular:

  • All worktops and tabletops cleaned down
  • No food left in cupboards or the fridges/ fridge freezer
  • Plates, cutlery, utensils, cups, glasses left clean and dry, and away safely in the cupboards
  • Fly zapper and cookers need to be switched off at the end of your stay
  • Windows closed
  • Floors clean and dry
  • Toilet and shower areas left cleaned
  • Wood burner cleaned
  • Rubbish to be disposed of in the 2 bins outside the building, using the green bin for plastic waste and the orange bin for all other waste. If the bins are full, please take excess rubbish home, to be disposed of safely
  • No rubbish left in the building
  • Switch off water heaters in kitchen and bathroom areas.
  • Mattresses should be left upright to help with airflow.
  • There may be a need for you to 'turn the water on' when you arrive or 'drain the system' when you leave. This is to ensure we do not suffer from water leaks or bursts. We will let know if this will apply to your stay. Full instructions are provided.

Please report any damages to CDSC as soon as possible if you caused or not, accidents do happen. If you can please take photographs and email them to llansannan@crosbydistrictscouts.org.uk

Groups/users will be billed for any damage caused.
